The Punisher - Marvel Comics
Marvel Comics has announced that the vigilante Frank Castle, aka The Punisher, will join the Marvel Universe with a more modern ongoing series this August. To support the initiative, the company has hired the new adept writer Greg Rucka and artist Marco Checchetto to helm the comic. “[The premise is] not just the Punisher, but the Punisher in the Marvel Universe,” Rucka explained.

“The Punisher: War Zone,” a comic book-to-film released at the end of 2008, was a bit terrible critically and financially at the box office. Surprisingly, some of the folks didn’t think that this movie had any appeal, but the War Zone’s star, Ray Stevenson, oozes appeal.
