Comic-Con has officially grabbed the world’s attention with the introduction of these 30 exclusive Comic-Con toys that will be available to the fans in San Diego. For those of you who will not be attending, rest easy, because you can bet that these toys will be sold on eBay after the convention, maybe… Anyway, here is the list of toys, prices, as well as the sellers’ booths.

UPDATE: San Diego Comic-Con 2011 Schedule: Preview Night, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday

Comic-Con_logoThe complete Comic-Con 2011 Schedule is out for Preview Night (Wednesday), Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. For me, it looks like I will be camping out in Ballroom 20 for most of the day. If you don’t get there early you won’t have a seat.

- Game of Thrones Panel and Q&A session

I will top it off with Garth Ennis’s Stitched Movie World Premiere.

BBC Schedules Doctor Who’s Panel For Comic-Con this July

Doctor Who will return to this years San Diego Comic-Con! Yes, BBC has just announced that they will be holding panels for both Doctor Who and their new supernatural show Bedlam this July. This should be interested, since there was no showing of Doctor Who at last years Comic-con.

This panel is going to be the first visit from The 11th Doctor Matt Smith and Karen Gillan. Besides those two there will be a Q&A section with Doctor Who writer Toby Whithouse, executive producers Piers Wenger and Beth Willis. They will be discuss and playing footage from the newest episodes of Doctor Who that will be airing later this summer on BBC/BBC America. This panel is schedule in Hall H and will be held on Sunday, July 24 on 12:30 – 1:30pm.

Bedlam will be an exclusive US premier screening followed by QA with stars Theo James (Underworld: New Dawn, Downton Abbey) and creator David Allison (Boy Meets Girl).  The preview will take place on Friday at 5:00-6:00p.m. in Room: 7AB and on Saturday they will have a signing at the BBC America both #3639 11-11:30 a.m.

jack harkness john barrowmanSince our latest few updates have been mostly about upcoming San Diego Comic-Con 2011, I won’t disappoint you today. This time around, we get another update that John Barrowman, Sanaa Lathan, Anna Paquin, and Jim Parsons have recently confirmed to be attend Comic-Con (according to The Hollywood Reporter).

Barrowman will be at Comic-Con with his Torchwood: Miracle Day co-stars Lauren Ambrose and Alexa Havins on July 22; Lathan will participate in The Cleveland Show panel on July 24; Paquin will take part in the True Blood panel alongside Alan Ball and Stephen Moyer on July 22; and Parsons will appear with his cast-mates from The Big Bang Theory on July 22.

San Diego Comic-Con 2011: Walter Simonson “THOR: Artist’s Edition” to Sign at IDW Booth

Walter SimonsonIt’s been confirmed that legendary comic artist/creator, Walter Simonson, will be appearing at the IDW booth at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con. He will be  signing copies of “The Mighty Thor: Artist’s Edition”. Last April, IDW announced at Wonder-Don 2011, that the regular hardcover edition of the classic Marvel Comics – Walter Simonson’s “The Mighty Thor: Artist’s Edition” will premiere this July and is available now for pre-order.

In addition, IDW will also be offering a limited (300 copies) edition variant cover that will only be available at this years San Diego Comic-Con. So, if you feel like dropping $100 for either version (and I think it’s a bargain) you can purchase both versions at the IDW store, but for the LE versions you can ONLY pick it up during the convention at the IDW booth.
